Description
Acadia National Park is a National Park located in the U.S. state of Maine. It reserves much of Mount Desert Island, and associated smaller islands, off the Atlantic coast. Originally created as Lafayette National Park in 1919, the first National Park East of the Mississippi, it was renamed Acadia in 1929. The park is one of the most visited wildlife areas in the United States and a paradise for every photographer and outdoor enthusiast. The park loop road provides easy access to many of the iconic photography subjects, such as Monument Cove, The Beehive, Sand Beach, Jordan Pond and the Bubbles, Bubble Pond, Otter Cliff to name only a few. The carriage roads and hiking trails provide further access to more remote locations where the park continues to inspire and unfolds its full magic. It is a heaven for macro, seascape, and landscape photography that makes for great wall art decoration. Especially sunrise and the light of the golden hours paint the sky in beautiful blue and orange and brings out the beauty of the pink granite rocks.
